Micromax has become quite popular here in India and with a quite big share in the Indian mobile market. After almost capturing the smartphone market i think they have made their mind to rule in tablet market too. Earlier they were introducing tablets in Funbook series but as canvas series became very much popular they decided to launch this under canvas range.

Screen & Design :The phone comes with a large 8 inch IPS display with capacitive touch with color depth of 16.7M. No mobile company provides resistive touch now because users don’t like that at all. So the touch response will be excellent in this Tablet. If you’re a tablet lover then you may have a look over this tablet and make your mind whether it stands on your expectations or not.The design is kept quite simple, the logo of Micromax is placed at the center of the back panel. The camera placement looks classic btw, the side placement of camera was first seen in Micromax canvas 4.

Android Operating System:
Canvas Tab P650 runs on android 4.2.1 Jelly Bean. With Android OS you can download thousands of exciting games and apps. I bet you’ll love playing game on this tablet, one of the reason is its large screen. Games like GTA, Need For Speed, Angry Birds (of course), Temple Run will become more enjoyable on this tablet.
Also Micromax Will provide the update via OTA (Over The Air) to this tablet, so you don’t need to visit the service center or follow those difficult methods to update the OS of this Tablet.
Camera :
This tablet comes with dual camera : 5MP Rear camera Auto-Focus and front of 2MP. Unfortunately the tablet doesn’t have any Flash so at night you won’t be able to click clear sharp images. The camera supports Zoom. As stated above the camera placement looks good, you can check in the below image the camera is placed on the extreme right side.Camera Resolution 768×1024 for Rear Camera and 640×480 for Front Camera.
Battery :
Due to large screen the battery consumption of tablets is always more than the mobile phones. Micromax has taken care of it this time, this Tablet comes with a Li – Po battery with battery capacity of 4800mAh and Micromax claimed that it will deliver 5 hours of browsing time with standby time of 400 Hrs.
SIM Support & Connectivity :
The tablet supports SIM Connectivity and offers 3G Video Calling too Now That’s what we call a real Tablet. Other connectivity options includes Wi-fi, Bluetooth, USB, GPS, etc.

The tablet is powered with 1.2 GHz MT8389 Quad Core processor with 1GB DDR3 RAM. With this kind of specification you can play high end games easily without any lag. ROM is 16GB eMMC. Internal memory is about 16GB out of which 11.07GB is for mass storage and 1.73GB for apps installation. The memory can be expanded up to 32GB with external SD card.
The tablet comes with features like Video Pinning, Pop-up Browser, Look away to Pause video as seen on canvas Doodle 2.
